Black Aoud is a sophisticated blend of dark rose, intense woody oud, and damp, earthy patchouli. The initial spray can be very potent—often described as sharp, medicinal, or even abrasive but it mellows into an elegant, smoky, and velvety rose oud blend in the dry down.

Rose (Velvety/Bulgarian Rose Petals): This is not a light, dewy rose, but a deep, dark, and rich floral note that provides sweetness and contrast.

Agarwood (Oud): Often described as a rugged, smoky, woody, and slightly medicinal or animalic oud, common in Montale's early work.

Patchouli Leaves: Provides the deep, earthy, and sometimes slightly damp or "dirty" quality that blends beautifully with the oud.

Mandarin Orange: Usually appears in the opening to provide a brief, sharp, zesty lift before quickly fading.

Musk: Contributes to the longevity and provides a sensual, soft background as the fragrance dries down.

French Labdanum (or Sandalwood): Offers a warm, slightly leather-like or balsamic/incense resinous anchor in the base.

Performance: This is a beast-mode fragrance. It has legendary longevity (often lasting 8+ hours on skin and days on clothes) and enormous sillage (a large scent cloud), making it a true powerhouse. A light application (1-2 sprays) is highly recommended.
